Significant infrastructure works now nearing completion

Our latest drone footage captures a major milestone at Yorkhill Quay, with significant infrastructure works now nearing completion and the first residential developments progressing through the planning process.

Delivered on behalf of Glasgow City Council, the new roundabout and coach parking facilities are now complete, with only final landscaping works remaining before handover.

One of the most striking features visible in the latest aerial footage is the new riverside walkway, where the majority of paving has now been installed. Once complete, the route will create a continuous connection between The Clydeside Distillery and the Riverside Museum, providing a new waterside path for walking, cycling and running along the River Clyde.

Elsewhere across the site, all riverside safety ladders have been installed and surface water drainage works have been completed, helping prepare the area for future development.

The infrastructure works support the next phase of Yorkhill Quay’s transformation, with two planning applications now submitted for the first homes on the site. The proposals include a £100 million, 526-home co-living development featuring cafés, leisure amenities and a waterfront colonnade, alongside a second scheme comprising 89 European-inspired waterfront apartments with private balconies, rooftop terraces, active ground-floor commercial space and a landmark public art installation celebrating Glasgow’s maritime heritage.
