Housing association L&Q has signed a design and build contract with Rowlinson

Housing association L&Q has signed a design and build contract with Rowlinson to construct 83 one and two-bedroom homes at Trafford Waters in TraffordCity.

The new contract follows on from Rowlinson successfully completing the foundation works in readiness for L&Q’s affordable homes as well as the construction firm working on Montpelier Estates’ neighbouring elderly living and care scheme also at Trafford Waters.

The apartments will be centred around two blocks: all will have balconies and will be available on a rent-to-buy tenure.  They are expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The homes are the first phase of 350 properties being built as part of waterside regeneration specialists Peel Waters’ Trafford Waters neighbourhood, which will be a mixed use sustainable development, creating 3,000 new homes, amenity space, a hotel and offices in the area. The development is estimated to create a significant number of jobs and is to include a new primary school plus 20 acres of open spaces for residents, employees and visitors to live, work and play.
